Consequences

Creative Review

For Creative Review’s second Tweet Up at Tate Britain, we created an interactive installation inspired by the much-loved game Consequences, a.k.a Exquisite Corpse. Two people draw on iPads in real-time, building on the previous work created to generate a giant digital art mash up.

We’re very proud to have been part of Creative Review’s second Tweet Up (aka a meet up for people who Tweet, usually involving alcohol and at least one other mutual interest).

Drawing inspiration from our hosts, the Tate Britain gallery, and its Vorticists exhibition, we created a digital drawing game called Consequences. Powered by an HTML5 web app made for iPad, the game allows digital artists to transform their stylus with 3 drawing thicknesses, 2 pen colours and 4 coloured Vorticist brushes.

Whether you’re a professional illustrator or more of a stickman ‘artist’ you can create something between half decent and utterly brilliant, projected in real time on the wall for everyone to see. As more people get involved, the work expands from left to right until the artwork is completed at the end of the night.

Creative Review think we should launch it in the app store as a multiplayer game, as do the people who gave it a go. Watch this space.
